[Switching from text to video, she apparently doesn't know what the hell to do with the Pokegear either.]

Dagger? Wendy? Peter? Jumbo-

[The video is shaky, and only shows... a rather ponderous bosom.]

Doll? Snake?

- Joker?

[She waits, as if for a response. But the only sound is wind rustling through the trees and grass.

Another minute, before the video feed moves too fast for the feed to really pick up- grass, grass real close, black.]

... I'm goin' mad.

[That's a feeling he's familiar with. Wondering if he's maybe gone crazy, or he's dreaming, being here. Even after having been in Johto for several months, it's something Chihiro finds himself thinking about often.]

[The outburst isn't because of or really at the person on the other end of the video, but that's what Beast had to say on that matter, her grip on the pokegear liable to break it at this rate.]

[Chihiro jumps, his grip on his own Gear slipping a bit at the sudden outburst.]

[Especially if you're fortunate enough to have friends with you.

And he knows he's not really one to talk, since many people probably have better reasons for wanting to go back home. Whereas he has his reasons for wanting to stay.]

We've been kidnapped to god knows where, but it in't that bad?

[Her tone makes it obvious that she can't imagine anything good could possibly come of this situation. Just because she was unharmed so far didn't mean she'd stay that way. Just because Joker seemed to be here didn't make everything okay.

- That, and nothing she'd yet seen made a lick of sense.]

[Chihiro pales a little as Beast snaps at him, and that prompts his Linoone to hop up onto the bed, his long body coiling around Chihiro's as he gives a low growl at the screen.

He pauses to put a hand on Isamu's head before looking back at Beast, swallowing hard.]

I...I'm sorry...I wish I could tell you...you could go back home, b-but...nobody knows how we got here...

- What the 'ell is that!

[Beast recoils from the screen in shock as the Linoone hops in to view. Was that some kind of mutant badger? A giant stoat? And why would this kid have one right there that's dangerous???]

[The Linoone lowers his head a bit and growls more when Beast exclaims, but Chihiro is quick to pet the side of his neck to calm him down.]

I-it's okay! This is Isamu....he's my partner. My friend....he's a Pokemon called Linoone.

You...you should have a Pokemon with you, too.

The 'ell is a Pokemon?

[Chihiro what the hell? What is a Linoone? Is she hallucinating? Has she been drugged?]

[Chihiro takes a deep breath, closing his eyes for a minute. He's not the person for this. Naegi would be better suited for something like this.

But he answered, so now he has to try.]

Pokemon are....are the creatures that live in this world. They're...they're highly intelligent, a-and they work alongside humans. It's a bit....h-hard to explain, and a lot to take in at once, I u-understand...

But they're normal. Like how there are animals at home. They're....a lot different from normal animals in a lot of ways, but...them being here is normal for this place.

It in't normal at all, that! What's it- some badger 'ad a go at a weasel?

[Sorry Chihiro... Beast and "believing things she's told that go outside her world schema" do not go hand in hand.

Or anywhere near hands.

She knows how the world works- and what animals exist and what is and is not possible.

Going to a different place with weird animals ranks up there with "not possible".]

They're...normal here. T-that's all I'm saying.

[Isamu snorts at that. Wow, he's almost offended.]
